Effect on fertility biomarkers

In some individuals, fluphenazine may raise levels of prolactin, which can stop ovulation and make it harder to conceive. This condition can lead to menstrual irregularities and affect overall fertility. Additionally, hyperprolactinemia may cause symptoms such as amenorrhea and galactorrhea. Hypothermia is a rare adverse effect of antipsychotic drugs, including fluphenazine, which may affect body temperature regulation.
