About

The Femina Medica database was created to help women understand how different medications can impact fertility signs. Some drugs may alter typical fertility patterns by suppressing ovulation, changing the quantity and quality of cervical mucus, influencing basal body temperature, or affecting the length of the menstrual cycle.

Our project offers scientifically validated information on how medications may affect fertility biomarkers. Every entry in our database is supported by research, with citations provided in each article.

We also gather feedback and observations from users who track their biomarkers while taking medications. If you have this experience, we would love for you to share your charts and insights so others can benefit from your knowledge.

In addition, we provide consultations for individuals who encounter challenges in tracking fertility while on medication and are looking for alternative treatment options.

How to Use the Database?

Each medication has both a generic (or international non-proprietary name, INN) and a brand name. You can search the database using the active ingredient’s name (INN), the brand name, or by medication class. If you don’t find a medication under its brand name, try searching by the name of the active ingredient or its drug class.

We add medications to the database based on user requests. So, if you don’t see a specific drug, it will usually be added within a week.

If you need advice on how a specific medication affects fertility in your particular case or assistance in finding an alternative, please feel free to use our consultation service.
